Entry from: Naga City, Philippines Entry Title: "Trip to Naga City, Bicol" Entry: "We left Lucena at around 9am to start our trip down south to the Bicol region. I remembered well that it was also a Pacquaio title fight that Sunday, and being a Pacquiao fan and a native of General Santos City where Pacquiao is also based, I constantly monitored the fight on radio. We already received an advisory before we left Lucena that there is an approaching typhoon to hit land in Bicol anytime after lunch, which made our trip risky but exciting as well. We passed the dangerous and treacherous curves of Quezon Province at past 10am, and what caught our attention were the men, women and children, totaling more than a hundred in the entire stretch of the curves, who were ostensibly assisting motorists in negotiating the dangerous curves in exchange for some financial tokens. Being superstitious as many of them were near huge and old looking trees, we graciously tossed coins in every curve that we saw people. After leaving Quezon Province and taking a break in a Petron station along the way, we were faced with the first long stretches of worst roads in the country in Camarines Sur and Norte, which made our travel slower.
